About Me

Sarah has been in love with creating art ever since her childhood in rural NSW, always knowing her deepest desire was to become an artist. Upon leaving school, despite her creative yearnings, she was encouraged to take a more practical path, attending business college. Always jumping at opportunities to take any available art classes or workshops, she attended TAFE for a number of years, studying Visual Arts.

Art took a back seat for some years while Sarah raised her children and worked in the family business with her husband. In 2020 in a crazy changing world, finding more time on her hands than usual, she revived her passion for painting and started studying with the Milan Art Institute. Having completed her studies in the Mastery Program, Sarah is now working as a professional artist!

Sarah works with mixed media, loving the looseness of inks, markers, spray paint and acrylics, working in layers and refining with a final layer of luscious oil paint. Her style is best described as Abstract Realism.

“Colour is everything to me and makes the world a happy place when there are vibrant hues surrounding us.”

Loving a little bit of quirkiness, and often including the native Australian birdlife, animals from the local zoo or portraits all with a splash of unexpected colour and abstraction.

Currently, Sarah is working in her home studio in Dubbo - Central West NSW, which is packed to the brim with delicious colour which overlooks her garden and the local paddocks with glimpses of the Macquarie River precinct in the distance.
